Winter wedding photography at The Maynard and at St. Anne’s Church in Buxton
Ciara and Tom’s wedding photography in Sheffield and Buxton was a joy! I could see that nothing was going to make Ciara and Tom’s winter wedding anything other than very warm and special. They are a lovely couple who held their December wedding at St. Anne’s Church in Buxton. The reception was held at The Maynard in Grindleford.
The wedding photography began at the hairdresser’s, Cut ’n Curl in Buxton. The atmosphere was full of excitement with the mums and bridesmaids all absolutely beaming! I do love that atmosphere and anticipation at the beginning of the wedding day.
The wedding ceremony in the lovely St. Anne’s Church in Buxton was heartfelt, warm and meaningful. Everything that a wedding ceremony should be. During this time the clouds were parting and the December sunshine did its best to shine through! By the time we went outside it was sunny and the skies were blue, albeit ever-so-slightly chilly! Still stunning for late December.
Transport to the Maynard in Grindleford was looked after by John from Avril’s Cars who drove them with class in his beautiful Rolls Royce Phantom. Then a quick trip up to the moors above Fox House for some (very!) fresh air and portraits. Bracing but so beautiful!
Then back down the hill to greet the guests and for some fun doing the group photographs at the Maynard in the winter sunshine.
The ballroom at The Maynard, as ever, looked splendid and the meal looked wonderful. And then the speeches and first dance rounded off a truly superb and happy day.
Ciara and Tom, thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer – it was a privilege to be a part of your beautiful day. I wish you both all the very best for a wonderful and exciting future together.
