A Delightful Summer Wedding at The River Mill, Derby.

The Engagement Shoot

A few weeks before their wedding at The River Mill, I met with A and S for their engagement shoot on a fine summer’s evening, I knew straightaway that this was going to be a wedding full of joy. They have such a great sense of fun and such devotion to each other, this was a wedding to really look forward to.

A and S held their wedding at The River Mill at Darley Abbey, with a ceremony that was particularly heartfelt and special.

On a glorious summer day, this lovely wedding venue made for a very memorable day, surrounded by family and friends. The weather was kind and the atmosphere seemed especially warm.

This beautifully presented venue was ideal for the girls to get ready, with a dedicated dressing room. The boys, who were staying in Derby, arrived at River Mill a little later, all ready and looking particularly fine.

The Ceremony

This was a very personal and warm hearted ceremony officiated by a good friend. There were 65 guests seated to witness the joy, the emotion and the love that was the hallmark of this lovely day.

Affter the ceremony, drinks were served and confetti thrown. Chat and laughter abounded and informal photographs taken throughout. Time then for some family and friends group photographs which everyone enjoyed, after which we nipped across the bridge over the river for some fun portraits of the two of them.

The Celebrations

A little later the guests were seated on long tables and were served a particularly good wedding breakfast. Speeches were brief but heartfelt, but our bride and groom mingled with their guests throughout, clearly enjoying every moment. The laughter and happiness from the guests was loud and clear.

Bit of a break and then some real go-for-it dancing. Many guests enjoyed the comraderie outside throughout the warm summer evening.

What a wonderful day that was! I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the photographs in order to write this post. My very best wishes to you both for a tremendously happy future together.
