A wedding at Peak Edge Hotel in Chesterfield with ceremony at Ranmoor Church
I’ve been the photographer for many a wedding at Peak Edge Hotel in Chesterfield. 2022 however saw the wedding of Lynsey and Mike from Berkshire and this was the first wedding that I’d photographed at Peak Edge after its amazing transformation into a major “Wow!’ hotel. If you fancy your wedding near the top of the hill, between Chesterfield and Matlock, in an absolutely fantastic hotel, then this is the one!
Getting Ready at Peak Edge Hotel
Lynsey’s mum and dad live in Sheffield, but because everyone else had come from far and wide (some of the guests had travelled from Dubai), the bride and bridesmaids and the groom and groomsmen all got ready at the hotel.
The two parties managed to keep separate (this day was brilliantly planned!) and a fabulous excited atmosphere was present throughout. Even more excitement was added by the fact that Lynsey and Mike had hardly seen each other for a little while due to hectic work commitments.
A beautiful ceremony at Ranmoor Church in Sheffield.
After getting plenty of photographs of everyone there, it was off on the forty minute drive to Sheffield. Ranmoor Church is one of Sheffield’s finest. Photographs of the guys, all looking exceptionally fine, and then waiting with bated breath for the white Rolls to arrive.
Lynsey looked amazing as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Her stunning white dress with long veil and gorgeous pink and blue summer bouquet looked right at home in the magnificent Ranmoor Church. The service was particularly lovely and warm-hearted, possibly helped by the fact that it had been the church of Lynsey’s family since she was a child.
A few group photographs, lots of informals, and some very enthusiastic confetti throwing …. then time to head back.
And back to Chesterfield for the festivities…
And there we were, back at Peak Edge Hotel. A live singer to welcome the guests who then went into the garden to soak up the warm July sunshine, the odd couple of drinks, and then some fun joining in some group photographs. Not to mention some cracking portraits of Lynsey and Mike.
Food, speeches, dancing, even South American dancing! Oh, did I mention that they’re both keen dancers? This was quite some first dance!
It really was such an amazing day. It was a long one, sure, but to be honest, it was bloody brilliant!!!
Mike and Lynsey – it’s been really special to have been involved and also to have met the family before, during and after. Such huge congratulations to you both!
