Kim and Lewis’ Gorgeous Summer Wedding at The Maynard
A wedding at the Maynard in Grindleford near Sheffield, is always special. Set in the heart of the Peak District, this wonderful wedding venue has stunning views from the garden across the Hope Valley.
One particularly lovely wedding last year was that of Kim and Lewis. The nicest couple possible, they travelled all the way from home in Australia to hold their wedding there last summer. There’s dedication! Coincidentally, last year I was the wedding photographer for three couples who live in Australia. Being based very close to the Maynard, I didn’t need to travel quite as far as Kim and Lewis though!
Kim and Lewis both got ready at the Maynard, managing to avoid seeing each other until the ceremony. Kim got ready in the Windsor Room and looked amazing! Then the big moment as Kim walked down the aisle in the wood panelled ballroom. A beautiful warm hearted ceremony was followed by photographs and mingling in the sunshine in the garden. After the meal and speeches we jumped in the car and drove up to the tops to enjoy some photographs of the two of them, and then the evening began!
It was a wonderful day. Thank you both of you for inviting me to be your photographer for your day. Congratulations to you and wishing you both so much happiness for your future.
