Wedding Photographer at Hargate Hall
I do enjoy being the wedding photographer at Hargate Hall – as a wedding venue, this is definitely special. That’s partly because Hargate is in a very quiet rural setting in the village of Wormhill. It’s not far from the spa town of Buxton in the heart of the Peak District. It’s also not all that far to Bakewell and even Stockport and Manchester. Overall though it’s the friendliness and informal atmosphere that appeals so much.
If you want an ultra formal, “standing on ceremony” kind of wedding then perhaps Hargate Hall is not the venue for you. However, if the idea of giving your wedding a real family and friends flavour appeals, then this could well be perfect for you. When I have been the photographer at Hargate Hall, there has always been a feel of whole families getting together and doing their bit. Because it’s all family and friends, together!
Having your wedding or your reception at Hargate Hall becomes very much a personal thing. That’s because couples and their families and friends are free to make the day completely their own. There’s a surprising amount of (self catering) accomodation for family and friends, meaning that the party can stretch out beyond the wedding day itself. The style of catering is up to you as it’s provided by your choice of outside caterers. I have seen some wonderful meals being served there, including some amazing Greek food on one occasion.
There’s plenty of space for activities and good accommodation for the family. So overall I think Hargate Hall have pitched it beautifully for a family and friends orientated wedding.
