Amber and Jack held their wedding at Losehill House, deep in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District. I’d already had the pleasure of taking their engagement photographs a few weeks earlier, so I knew that this was going to be a really cracking day!
With great excitement and camraderie amongst Amber and the girls, hair and make-up were done at neighbouring Underleigh House. They then walked across to Losehill to finally get ready.
The boys arrived ready, looking seriously impressive in bow ties and superb jackets.

Being a really fine summer day, the ceremony was held on the lawn with spectacular views of the Derbyshire hills.
Seeing each other was such an emotional moment. The ceremony itself was particularly heartfelt, after which celebratory drinks were enjoyed. When the moment was right we moved on to some group photographs with that wonderful backdrop. All the while lots of informal, reportage photographs were taken (I wish I could show you all of them on here!). A little wander up that gorgeous lane for some very enjoyable portraits followed.

Finally time for the guests to relax in the orangerie for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. And nobody had a clue that some of those waiters weren’t actually waiters at all. They were in fact a highly accomplished group of singers and entertainers who really got the party started (not that it needed any help in that respect!).
Yep, this lot really knew how to enjoy themselves.
Amber and Jack – thank you so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It was such a privilege and a joy to photograph such a great wedding, My heartfelt congratulations to you both and my very best wishes.
